On God, Destiny, and Existents by Nasir Al-Din Al-Tusi, ISBN 0842523529
Nasir al-Din al-Tusi (1201-1274) was a renowned authority on and defender of Avicenna, who is regarded as one of the most influential of all Muslim philosophers. A brilliant thinker in his own right, al-Tusi was the author of over one hundred works dealing with astronomy and philosophy as well as Shi'ite theology, history, and mysticism. "On God, Destiny, and Existents is a collection of his treatises that examine such topics as free will and moral responsibility within the framework of his sophisticated determinism. This work epitomizes al-Tusi's unique approach that employs his mathematical skills in the service of philosophical issues. Prime among these is his argument against atomism and in favor of the indivisibility of substances.
